Taggers/Designers & Artists take their work seriously Time and effort is put into creating beautiful things not to mention, sometimes money.
There are alot of unwritten rules in the world of snagging & tagging that some are not aware of. Not following the proper etiquette of snagging often costs people their memberships in some groups as well as their reputations when trying to join others.
So take a moment and read...
1) Never add text to a PTU (Pay to use) art tag. That means any tag that has been made from art that is paid for by the tagger. AMI, CILM. They are idenfified by having a license number and or letters on them. They are shared as they have been made.

2) Does that mean we can add text to any FTU (free to use) tag? A simple No!

Here is one of those unwritten rules...
Taggers in general have made tags to be shared as is...so unless they are posted as blanks..and permissions are given to add your own text... they should be considered the same as PTU... Now some may have intended for them to be used at will, but many do not appreciate the altering of their tags...so best practice is to respect the taggers work, and not add text (including names) unless they are posted on blanks boards where permissions are noted.

There are plenty of blank tags out there...and lots of them are uncredited. Some are simple word tags. sayings etc but others are actual FTU artist works where the tagger has not added any credits... Should you be using these? NO.
Rule of thumb. If it is an artists work and not properly credited. don't touch it. plain and simple.

3) Never take credit for something you did not do. Snagging a blank and adding text does not mean you created the tag and does not warrant your credit. Whether it is credited already by the original tagger or not your credits should not be added. You have been given permission by the tagger to add text only but you did not create the tag. This is double crediting, Its like signing your name to someone elses poetry because you added a flower to the page...
never remove or alter credits

Thanks for taking the time in reading this.
